Former heavyweight champ kicks off book tour

video James “Bonecrusher” Smith, the former heavyweight champ from Magnolia held a book signing Friday night at Hooters. Smith was the first heavyweight champion with a college degree. “Bonecrusher” welcomed fans, took pictures and showed off some memorabilia from his boxing days.

videoJames "Bonecrusher" Smith is a former heavyweight champion of the world in boxing. Smith will be hosting his own golf tournament at River Landing in early March. He stopped by WWAY to tell us all about it. On Sunday the UNCW women's basketball team appeared to be in great shape to pull off a big upset against Old Dominion, but the Seahawks were not able to hold onto a double digit lead in the second half.
