Lack of organization and late start frustrates boxers at Azalea Festival Tournament

Venue switch in store for the boxing event at Azalea Festival
Boxing has been part of the Azalea Festival for 35 years. Williston Middle School in Wilmington has served as the location for the Azalea Festival boxing tournament for most of those years, but that will not be the case this April when the Azalea Festival rolls around again. The North Brunswick Scorpions made it all the way to the 2-A state finals last year in baseball. Most of last year's players are back for North Brunswick. On Monday Duplin County native Bonecrusher Smith told WWAY he's returning to the ring for a celebrity boxing event. Smith is a former WBA heavyweight champion.
