As of Monday morning, I want to share with you where we stand. The impacts remain isolated to social services in that last week the state directed that all counties begin accepting new applications for WIC and making benefits available.

WIC, Wave feeling impacts of federal shutdown

Today New Hanover County Manager Chris Coudriet let commissioners know that the county's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program and Wave Transit are now being impacted thanks to a lack of federal funding for the programs.
