UNC men's basketball coach Roy Williams underwent a robotic partial nephrectomy at UNC Hospitals on Wednesday to remove a tumor from his right kidney. Williams, 62, should be able to coach when the Tar Heels begin practice on October 13th. Full story...

Former Wimbledon champion Stan Smith headlines the “Landfall Legends of Tennis” this weekend at the Country Club of Landfall. The event will fund student-athlete tennis scholarships at UNCW through the Seahawk Club and also generate funds for the Miracle League of Wilmington. Full story...
