Brunswick County looks to change dangerous dog ordinances

Brunswick County is getting closer to changing its ordinances regarding dangerous dogs. Health director Don Yausey told the Brunswick Board of Health Monday night that attorneys are reviewing the language of the ordinance, attempting to work out the kinks.

videoLast month News Channel 3 attended dangerous dog court at New Hanover County's Animal Control. The case of John Williams was compelling due to the fact Williams' dog bit deputy Jeremy Eaton. Ironically, a day later the pit bull bit another deputy, Kevin Carroll, during a domestic call. Deputy Carroll shot and killed the dog. A month has since passed. That leads us to another chapter of the monthly dog court.
