videoLaw enforcement has ended their search near Mayfaire for a suspect who ran while they were trying to serve warrants. Bob Becker, Resident Agent in Charge with the US Department of Homeland Security says the warrants are part of a Immigrations and Custom Enforcement case.

Leland Fire Department's $1M grant to benefit whole county

A $1 million federal grant for the Leland Fire Department will benefit the whole county. Leland got the Assistance to Firefighters grant on behalf of the Brunswick County Fire Chief's Association.

Leland, Bald Head fire departments get federal money

Two fire departments in Brunswick County are getting help from the federal government. Leland Fire Rescue and the Bald Head Island Fire Department are each getting money from the the US Department of Homeland Security for operations and safety improvements.
