A two-year-old girl is recovering from injuries suffered during a dog attack in Henderson County.
A local kennel in Ocean Isle Beach is open again after a fatal fire last month.

A two-year-old German Shepard named Jorga and her handler Randy Searls with the I&I K-9 Search and Rescue Team are joining the forces as volunteers on call.
"I'd hate to see that," Gervase said. "I really would, but I look at other towns that have done that and I can't help but think maybe they've gone along the same path and they're just a couple years ahead of us."
"Gone for a whole month at 5 months old at 14 pounds and survived," Clark said.
Clark said now the two dogs do not separate even when they go to the kennel.
