Charge dismissed against former elections director

A domestic violence charge was dismissed Monday against former New Hanover County elections director Marvin McFadyen when the alleged victim in the case failed to show up in court, according to the New Hanover County District Attorney’s Office.

Second water outage scheduled for area near downtown

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A spokesman with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority announced a second outage scheduled for an area near Downtown Wilmington this week.
