Cherokee's casino holds job fair to fill 500 slots

The new gaming agreement between the state of North Carolina and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians is prompting operators to hold two job fairs to add 500 new positions.

Cherokees, Perdue sign amended gambling deal

Gov. Bev Perdue and North Carolina's Cherokee tribe have reached an agreement to allow live card dealers at the tribe's casino in the mountains in exchange for a cut of revenues from the new games going to local school districts.
