NC agencies to launch summer lifesaving campaign

CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Alligator spotted at Carolina Beach shoreline

One WWAY viewer caught a glimpse of something you might not see very often on the north end of Carolina Beach. An alligator was spotted at the shoreline Sunday, and Jeremy Kelly was even able to snap a picture of it, before police and wildlife officers moved the reptile.

2 injured in boat accident on NE Cape Fear River

videoTwo people are recovering after a boating accident yesterday on the Northeast Cape Fear River. The NC Wildlife Resources Commission says the couple, who's names have not been released, were heading back toward the Castle Hayne boat access at about 35 mph when they hit a log.
