Longtime sports official Larry Honeycutt worked three NCHSAA state football championships, four soccer state championships and two more finals in high school basketball. The high school basketball state playoffs were scheduled to start on Tuesday in North Carolina, but there weren't any games around our area until Wednesday night due to Tuesday's snow and ice. Joe Miller & Jack Holley to be inducted into the NCHSAA Hall of Fame
Joe Miller and Jack Holley will be inducted into the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame. Holley is a New Hanover graduate. He coached several high school football teams in our area. Holley died in 2013. Joe Miller passed away earlier this year. Miller was the head football coach of the New Hanover Wildcats for 20 years.
