videoSomething disturbing is happening to people's cats in one Wilmington neighborhood. Police say someone is to blame for apparently killing cats in a brutal way. Randy Leonard found something disturbing in his front yard Monday morning, half a cat. It was cut almost surgically, and then placed there.

Animal Services call turns into drug, gun charges

videoAn Animal Services investigation landed a New Hanover County in jail on drug and gun charges. New Hanover County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Jerry Brewer says the Animal Services Unit showed up to 4217 Parmele Road to take custody of two dogs and four puppies due to a dangerous dog violation.

New year brings new NC law to protect pets
