Tom Heitman is a parent and a Real Estate Broker. His three children are in public schools. Tom says he is very interested in children’s education and he is concerned about the direction the system is going with budget cuts and not focusing on core subjects.
Steve Bilzi is a Republican candidate for new Hanover County Board of Education. Steve is a parent and a former school board member and teacher. He currently is a computer tech consultant. Steve served eight years on the New Hanover Board of Education and was chairman, he says he knows what the job takes at the local, state and national levels.
Lisa Estep is a Republican candidate for new Hanover County Board of Education. Lisa is a parent and an accountant. Lisa says her five children have been in the New Hanover County school system for fifteen years and she has seen and learned a lot in that time. Lisa says she thinks she is a good fit for the School Board.
Jeannette Nichols is a Republican running for re-election to the New Hanover County Board of Education. Nichols is a parent and grandparent and a former classroom teacher. She has been on the Board of Education since 2000 and has been Vice-Chair since 2002. She wants to continue supporting children
