School board attorney: No ban on 'Red for Ed'

videoApparently New Hanover County teachers can still wear "Red for Ed" shirts at school. That's a reversal from less than two weeks ago when teachers were informed they could wear red, but could not wear the message "Red for Ed," which the school board said was a political statement not allowed under district policy.

New Hanover Co. School Board slated to continue talks on fraternization policy

videoThe New Hanover County School Board's Policy Committee is scheduled to continue discussions on a new fraternization policy this afternoon. The board won't admit it, but an ONLY ON 3 INVESTIGATION uncovered that Superintendent Tim Markley has been having a relationship with his former administrative assistant, a internal relationship that the current policy doesn't address. The board will only say that it is attempting to change the policy to better match state policy. We will have multiple reporters at this afternoon's meeting and will have live reports starting at 5:00 p.m. on WWAY NewsChannel 3.
