Athletes race nearly 13 miles in paddle-boarding competition

Contestants from nearly 40 states and 5 nations paddled in the Carolina Cup this weekend at Wrightsville Beach. The paddle-boarding competition began near the Blockade Runner where even pro’s hit the water. Athletes raced up to 13 miles around Wrightsville Beach waters. They fought waves and currents, but are among the toughest paddlers in the world.
