Brunswick County Commissioners voted 3-2 Monday to proceed with the $3.5 million purchase of nearly 35 acres for a nature park near Holden Beach, despite threats of legal action by county residents.

Brunswick commissioners approve pay raises for county employees

Brunswick County’s 900 employees will receive a long-awaited pay raise, as the board of commissioners on Monday approved an across-the-board raise for the next fiscal year. Every employee will receive a raise of at least 3 percent.

Charles Warren files federal suit against former county colleagues

video Former Brunswick County Commissioner Charles Warren has filed a federal lawsuit against several county leaders after he says he was publicly humiliated. County Commissioners met in a regular session last night to discuss many topics, but they did not discuss the lawsuit. WWAY has obtained a copy of the suit filed in US District Court.
