Police are searching for a suspect they say stole prescription drugs from inside a Wilmington pharmacy after breaking in through a window at the store Sunday night.

Charlotte doctors face drug charges

Charlotte police have charged two eye doctors with drug trafficking after investigators said the doctors wrote fake hydrocodone prescriptions for some patients and stole the pills. Police said in a statement that Dr. Benjamin Hobbs and Dr. Samuel Hobbs are each charged with trafficking in opiates, obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and larceny. The brothers own Clear View Eye Care.
