Mayor Pro Tem Steve Shuttleworth says Planning and Development Director Ed Parvin will act as the town manager for a few days as council looks for a more permanent replacement. The reduced Carolina Beach Town Council says they are looking for candidates to fill the three newly vacated leadership positions.

Two elected leaders and the town manager in Carolina Beach quit last night. Mayor Ray Rothrock says he and Councilman Lonnie Lashley quit along with Town Manager Tim Owens.

A YouTube video circulating around town shows a man who appears to be intoxicated falling into a band. The video was shot at Harbor Masters restaurant during the Beach Kids Reunion in Carolina Beach on Labor Day weekend.
