Tuesday we told you 17-year-old Allen Strickland was in back in jail. He was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond after allegedly leading police on a chase in his Corvette, which he had no license to drive. Now we have learned Strickland has come up with the money to post that bond.

There are major developments to report tonight in the shooting investigation involving State Senator RC Soles. Wednesday afternoon, District Attorney Rex Gore announced that he has asked a special prosecutor from the Attorney General's Office to step in and take over the case.

A Tabor City boy with ties to State Sen. R.C. Soles was in jail Sunday for the second time in less than a week. Thursday Allen Strickland wound up in jail accused of setting fire to a house Soles bought him. Sunday the 17-year-old was back behind bars because of his car the Senator paid for.

A Tabor City teen charged with burning down his own house made his first appearance in court Friday.
The house is owned by Allen Strickland who is accused of burning down the house, which was bought for him by Senator RC Soles.
