While he was in Wilmington today we asked Sen. Richard Burr about some widespread criticism he's been getting. A week ago the Republican lodged an objection that postponed a Senate Armed Services Committee meeting that included military leaders brought in from around the world.

Senator Richard Burr continues to get heat for telling his wife to take money out of the bank at the height of last year's banking crisis.
So far no one has challenged the Republican senator, but in a recent poll of nearly a thousand voters across the state, Congressman Mike McIntyre is just five points behind Burr in a hypothetical senate race.

After reportedly talking to treasury secretary Henry Paulson during last fall's banking crisis, Burr called his wife and told her to withdraw cash from their bank's ATM.
