Virginia defeated UNCW on Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Seahawk David Sizemore scored the first goal of the game midway through the first half to give UNCW the lead. Virginia scored an equalizer just before the break. The Cavaliers went onto score twice in the second half to win 3-1 over UNC Wilmington.
Freshman midfielder Kalvin Kromer and junior midfielder Daniel Escobar each scored a goal in the second half to lead UNCW to a 2-0 victory over Bucknell University in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship at UNCW Soccer Stadium on Thursday evening. The Seahawks will now face Virginia in round two.
