videoThe Carolina Panthers found another way to lose a close football game on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers had the lead against Buffalo until two seconds left in the fourth quarter. Matt Kenseth won the Geico 400 on Sunday just outside Chicago. The UNCW women's soccer team remains undefeated at home. Plus more!

videoOn Tuesday WWAY's John Rendleman and Trot Nixon both attended the luncheon for the upcoming BB&T Jamboree. It's not just a scrimmage. It's the unofficial start to the high school football season. On Tuesday we heard from a Post 10 baseball player. The brackets are set and Post 10 is World Series bound. videoOn Thursday night we checked out baseball playoff action. The Wilmington Sharks had a chance to wrap up their first round series, but the Peninsula Pilots had different plans. Wilmington Post 10 was victorious though. Post 10 advances to the winner's bracket of the legion baseball regionals. Lori Beth Adams made a valiant effort, but the UNCW senior came up short at the U.S. Women's Amateur in Charleston. Plus more!

videoWith two solid rounds of golf UNCW's Lori Beth Adams has advanced to the match play portion of the U.S. Women's Amateur in Charleston. 156 golfers started the competition on Monday, but only 64 will compete in match play. The playoffs start at home on Wednesday for the Wilmington Sharks. Post 10 starts regional play on Thursday in Asheboro. Plus more!
