Less than a year after UNCW Chancellor Gary Miller announced the school would not cut any of its athletics programs, the university has announced it will cut one team for next year. But in the end, it looks as if very little is changing. Full story...

"I'm announcing today that we will continue all 19 of our sports programs," Chancellor Gary Miller announced to a crowded room at UNCW's Burney Center this morning. The Wilmington Sharks won their home opener on Wednesday night at Buck Hardee Field. The Sharks are off to a 2-0 start. The Portland Timbers beat the Wilmington Hammerheads in the US Open Cup.
