videoThe high school football season is here. Despite the rain the BB&T Jamboree was played as scheduled at Legion Stadium in Wilmington on Friday night. Check out the first 5th Quarter of 2013. In baseball Wilmington Post 10 won their opening game at the American Legion World Series. Post 10 will face Louisiana on Saturday in a winner's bracket contest. Full story...

videoOn Friday we had state playoff action from Ashley, Hoggard, Whiteville and Cerro Gordo on WWAY. The biggest upset of the night took place in Whiteville where the defending 2-A state baseball champs lost to Clinton. Trask won the 1-A state title in track. Woman charged with gun at Whiteville High School

videoA woman is in jail after police says she showed up on a school campus armed. Whiteville Police Lt. Marc McGee says Michelle Walling had gotten into a car accident, left the scene and drove to Whiteville High School. videoWednesday turned out to be a fairly dramatic night in our region for second round state playoff action in high school basketball. We showcased six high school games plus the backyard Brunswick-Cape Fear men's college game.
