ONLY ON 3: Developers quiet a day after mayor criticizes ballpark plan

video One day after Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo said the proposal for a ballpark is not a good one for the city, many of the main players who pitched the plan are MIA. We contacted the private developers, Mandalay Baseball and the Atlanta Braves and got very little response.

Braves bring in big leaguers to back ballpark

videoFormer Braves baseball players are rallying in support of bringing a minor league team to Wilmington. Columbus County native Otis Nixon, Greg McMichael, Zane Smith and Jeff Treadway all came out to the pro ballpark rally in front of City Hall Saturday.
