VOTE 2010: Rabon, Goolsby help Republicans win majorities in NC Legislature

videoUnofficial results late Tuesday night showed GOP candidates winning at least 27 seats in the Senate and 61 in the House, ensuring they'll have more seats than the Democrats. Two of those seats that switched parties are here in Southeastern North Carolina, with Republicans Bill Rabon (8th District) and Thom Goolsby (9th District) winning Senate seats long held by Democrats.

Rep. Justice: Voters cheated by ballot mess up

State Rep. Carolyn Justice says voters have been cheated. Justice says she received a called from Rep. Danny McComas (R-New Hanover) saying that the 16th District House candidates were completely left off the ballots at the Northeast Library in Wilmington.

VOTE 2010: Pantano rallies base in final day of campaigning

Election Day is coming up, and Republican Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano did some 11th-hour campaigning at Republican Party headquarters in Brunswick County. He used the time to fire up his base; time that could have been spent trying to pull some undecided voters into his column. Pantano says it's time well spent.

VOTE 2010: Burr leads Marshall by 12 in final poll

Richard Burr leads Elaine Marshall 52-40 on PPP's final poll for the North Carolina Senate election. Burr is winning with independents and getting 22% of the Democratic vote while only 6% of Republicans are crossing over to vote for Marshall.
