Unofficial results late Tuesday night showed GOP candidates winning at least 27 seats in the Senate and 61 in the House, ensuring they'll have more seats than the Democrats. Two of those seats that switched parties are here in Southeastern North Carolina, with Republicans Bill Rabon (8th District) and Thom Goolsby (9th District) winning Senate seats long held by Democrats. The clock is ticking, and ticking fast. Election Day is coming up, and Republican Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano did some 11th-hour campaigning at Republican Party headquarters in Brunswick County.
