Boiling Spring Lakes Mayor Richard White turned himself in this morning after a woman took out warrants against him for three counts of sexual battery and one count of assault on a female.

FIRST ON 3: DA's appeal of StreetSafe injunction shows Judge Ola Lewis also involved

video Documents included with DA Jon David's appeal of Judge Jerry Jolly's injuction against traffic court and the StreetSmart program show Judge Ola Lewis was also involved, to the point of calling a chief deputy off of a murder investigation to serve David the order papers.

FIRST ON 3: D.A. Jon David calls out Rex Gore regarding Davina Buff Jones shooting

District Attorney Rex Gore was unwilling to change his initial determination or rule the cause of death as undetermined. Unfortunately, this action on Mr. Gore’s part lead many to conclude that he was not acting in a fair and impartial manner. Regardless of the truth of this assertion, such a perception is damaging to the Office of the District Attorney.

District Attorney says office will re-examine death of Bald Head Island police officer

Brunswick County ADA loses case; never subpoenas police officers

video Court documents say it all. Apparently Brunswick County assistant district attorney Erin Holden was not prepared to prosecute a case involving John Richard Smilowski. The Oak Island resident was charged with strangling an on-and-off again girlfriend. Smilowski pleaded not guilty on August 16, 2010.

11 days later, suspect still on the loose

The Brunswick County District Attorney's Office promised a victim her alleged attacker would be arrested the same day he was indicted. Eleven days later, the Sheriff's Office has had no luck finding him.
