videoPender High graduate Addison Spruill only made three shots for Buzz Peterson's team in Wednesday's basketball game. One was rather routine. One forced overtime. We had highlights on the 5th Quarter from North Brunswick-Dixon, East Bladen-Wallace-Rose Hill, St. Pauls-South Columbus, Topsail-South Brunswick, Hoggard-Laney and New Hanover-West Brunswick + postgame reaction from New Hanover's nail-biter victory + NC State's Pharoah McKever returns to the 5th Quarter with a cameo from Tabor City.

videoBoth UNCW basketball teams have been picked to finish in 8th place in the CAA for the upcoming hoops season. The UNCW soccer team knocked off another ACC team. The Seahawks shutout the Tar Heels on Tuesday in Chapel Hill. We had plenty of high school sports on our sportscast as usual. Trot Nixon made a World Series prediction for us. Plus more!

videoOn Wednesday the ACC men's basketball coaches met in Charlotte for "Operation ACC Basketball." Duke is the pre-season choice to finish in first place. Tyler Ptacek will not be coming to UNCW to play basketball for Buzz Peterson & the Seahawks. A Seahawk golfer has been named player of the year in the CAA.
