Today was orientation. 1,500 new students packed the Schwartz Center to learn about their new school, how to stay safe and how to succeed. The students say they have good reason for wanting to be a Sea Devil.

Riverfest needs between 150 to 200 volunteers. The organization, which benefits the marine technology program at Cape Fear Community College, also needs chairpersons for all the different events that take place during the weekend.
