Some Cape Fear Community College students are getting hands-on experience as they try to move to new careers. For the past few weeks the students in the carpentry program have been building a utility building at the North Campus.

It's not every day a student has her high school diploma and college degree by the age of 18. Alexandra Lyons started Pender Early College High School at the age of 15. The program gives high school students the chance to pursue an associate degree from cape fear community college.
