Some Cape Fear Community College students are getting hands-on experience as they try to move to new careers. For the past few weeks the students in the carpentry program have been building a utility building at the North Campus.

The instructors are trying to get support for a new ship, because the Dan Moore is more than 40 years old and in need of replacing. They hope the tour helped prove that to the senator.
