In more than two decades the trail of more than 30 murder cases have gone cold in the Port City. To bring public awareness to some of these cases, Wilmington Police have teamed up with Cape Fear Community College to create public service announcements. Full story...

New Hanover graduate Kadeem Allen continues to tear it up on the junior college level. The future Arizona Wildcat scored 41 points on Wednesday to lead Hutchinson to yet another victory. On Thursday we checked out three different college games. The Brunswick CC men beat Harford. Cape Fear CC lost to Wallace State and the UNCW women lost to Liberty in front of a record crowd at Trask Coliseum. We also had high school action involving Topsail, Trask, Union and West Brunswick. On Thursday night on WWAY we provided an extensive profile on the state champion Topsail High cheerleaders. They recently captured the state title in Raleigh. Trask High football coach Glenn Sellers has resigned. Trask baseball coach Jonathan Batts has resigned as well. Both will remain at Trask as teachers. Plus more! Full story...

Buzz Peterson's basketball team is on a bit of a roll. The UNCW Seahawks are now 6-5 on the season after a 19 point win over Campbell. We had four high school basketball games on WWAY on Tuesday.
