CFCC students landscape Wilmington's newest Christian Recovery House

One group of Cape Fear Community College students put their green thumbs to the test for a good cause. Students in Cape Fear's landscaping and gardening program spent the morning trimming bushes, pulling weeds, and mowing the grass at Wilmington's newest "Christian Recovery House" at Oleander Drive.

WWAY's Monday night sports - May 6; Hunter Ridge suspended by UNCW & Otis Nixon arrested

videoUNCW's career hits leader has been suspended from the team. Slugger Hunter Ridge has played his last game as a Seahawk. Columbus County native Otis Nixon was arrested over the weekend outside Atlanta on drug charges. Nixon played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball. Plus more!

video Cape Fear Community College student Malik Abdul-Rashid says he believes if he works hard enough, he can accomplish his greatest dreams. On an average day, you can find Malik walking from class to class on the CFCC campus. But in a short conversation with him, you'll discover he's no average student. With wisdom beyond his years, Malik says people should be thankful for every moment.

CFCC instructor appears in 'Nashville' episode

video If you watched Nashville on ABC and WWAY Wednesday night, you may have caught a local man on screen. Cape Fear Community College Drama Instructor Jack Landry had a small speaking part in the episode. Landry played a paparazzo trying to get video of main character, Rayna Jaymes, played by Connie Britton.
