Utility crews with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority are on the scene and facilitating emergency sewer repairs after discovering a sewer cave-in on Lincoln Road near the intersection of Oleander Drive. A portion of Lincoln Road near Oleander Drive will be closed to through traffic while crews mitigate repairs

The CFPUA Operations Department responded to a sewer spill which occurred Saturday from a manhole located at the Airport Pump Station #62. The loss of commercial power and failure of an in-place generator caused the spill.
