video A Tabor City mom says her five-year-old son was raped at school. But it's who she says attacked the boy that you just won't believe. Sherri Loika says her son was sodomized in a restroom at Tabor City Elementary School by a five-year-old classmate. She found out the night it happened after his teacher called.

FIRST ON 3: SBI asked to investigate Bladen deputy for sex allegations involving minor

video Another area law enforcement agency has asked the SBI to help investigate one of its own. Bladen County Sheriff Prentis Benston says he asked the SBI to investigate criminal allegations against one of his sergeants.

WILMINGTON JOURNAL: Brunswick Co. NAACP supporting Commissioner Charles Warren

In July of last year, Brunswick County Commissioner Charles Warren was appointed by his fellow commissioners to serve as a board member of the Department of Social Services. Not only did he assume his duties as a DSS board member, but he eventually became chairman of the board as well. According to Commissioner Warren, the first African-American Brunswick County commissioner to be elected in 28 years when he took the seat in 2008, a storm began brewing in September when a decision was made to terminate the director of DSS.

video The Department of Social Services is investigating tonight what's been going on at a New Hanover County Commissioner's house. Brian Berger has also had police officers show up at his house twice recently. He says he's caught in the middle of another couple's messy divorce.

Brunswick county attorney accused of going overboard

video Earlier this month, Brunswick County Commissioner Charles Warren sent a letter to comission chairman Bill Sue. In it, he accused county attorney Huey Marshall of overstepping his authority as the Department of Social Services board dealt with former director Jamie Orrock.

Brunswick Co. DSS Director fired for retaliating against employees

According to a letter Brunswick County DSS Director Jamie Orrock sent to his board, Orrock was terminated when the board determined he'd retaliated against workers who accused him of making sexual comments at work - reports the State Port Pilot.
