The college baseball season will start on Friday in Wilmington. VMI, Kentucky, UNCW and #1 ranked Virginia should all have decent weather for three days at Brooks Field. Plus more!

UPDATE: Former S. Brunswick football standout Terrell Stanley hurt in crash on icy highway

videoTwo East Carolina football players were involved in a car accident near the Tar River Bridge in Greenville on Wednesday morning. Terrell Stanley is a South Brunswick High graduate. He's a starting defensive end. His injuries are believed to be quite serious.

videoThe boys basketball team at Trinity Christian has a slew of players who'll likely play college basketball in the near future on the high division one level. NC State made offers to two of the Trinity players recently. UNC and Duke both have their eyes on Trinity players as well. Police: Brother kills former ECU football player

A former ECU football player was murdered by his older brother in Greensboro, police said. Darren Blacknall, 30, has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing his brother, 24-year-old Derek Blacknall.
