video An assistant football coach at Hoggard High School has been arrested after an incident at the school last week. The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office has charged Joseph Clinton Brown Jr. with five counts of simple assault and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Leland Middle School students get first-hand lesson in government

Leland Middle says it is the only school in the state that holds a mock Congressional hearing. The students showed off their knowledge and understanding of historical, political and constitutional issues in the form of testimony today.
