The Carolina Brotherhood hit the road this morning to honor the fallen. The cycling pact is made up of firefighters and police officers from all over the Carolinas, and it kicked off right here in Wilmington.

A $1 million federal grant for the Leland Fire Department will benefit the whole county.
Leland got the Assistance to Firefighters grant on behalf of the Brunswick County Fire Chief's Association.

Family and friends honored the memory of a fallen firefighter today. Capt. John Miller died in a helicopter crash off Carolina Beach Road in 2008. A brass bell was dedicated in his name at Cape Fear Community College's Safety Training Center.
