A spokesperson for O’Charley’s has confirmed that the Wilmington location closed Sunday. The restaurant at 5104 South College Road recently won the Pleasure Island Chowder Cook-off, in the Judges Choice category and for Best Decorated Booth.

Upscale grocery stores have begun popping up across the Port City. The newest is the Whole Foods on Oleander Drive, which is scheduled to open later this month. Representatives from their competition say they welcome the challenge.
