After being shut down for repair for two months, the ferry will be re-opening on Monday, February 2. The Department of Transportation had to stop ferry service so they could fix the ramp vehicles use to drive onto the ferry. Full story...

The Fort Fisher Air Force Base served as the backdrop for a combat fun run on Sunday. The event was a fundraiser for the local non-profit "Step Up For Soldiers" and proceeds will benefit the fallen soldiers memorial in Wilmington which will be dedicated next month. Full story...
