videoLaney High School and WWAY will team up in late November for the Laney-WWAY Thanksgiving Invitational. It'll be a two day basketball event. All games will be held at the Michael Jordan Gymnasium. We have details on the updated schedule of play.

Purdue leads after first day of Landfall Tradition

videoTwo-time champion Purdue shot a blistering 5-under-par 283 and South Carolina's Nanna Madsen soared to the top of the individual leaderboard with a 6-under 66 as the opening day of the 13th Landfall Tradition drew to a close Friday at the Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course. The conditions were perfect. The greens were true and fast. The scores were lower than normal.

We showed his creative slam dunk on our sports on Monday night. Plus we showcased NCHSAA Hall of Fame Day from Chapel Hill where the late Joe Miller and Jack Holley were honored.

videoThe Wilmington Hammerheads haven't won a soccer game since late May. They were hoping that would change on Friday night in Pennsylvania, but the Harrisburg City Islanders and the Hammerheads ended up with a scoreless draw. The Hammerheads will face Rochester on Saturday night in New York. The Wilmington Sharks did win though. The Sharks beat the Florence RedWolves with the addition of a new player from UNCW. Plus more!
