Governor announces school safety task force

videoFriday morning at Hoggard High School, Governor Pat McCrory announced a new task force as part of the Center for Safer Schools. The task force will not only focus on security in schools, but student's mental health as well. It will be comprised of 20 people including students, parents, mental health workers, teachers, and law enforcement.

Cooper's season over as Cardinals place Hoggard grad on IR

videoJonathan Cooper's season is officially over before it even began. The Arizona Cardinals, who selected the Hoggard High School and UNC grad with the seventh overall pick in April's NFL Draft, placed Cooper on season-ending injured reserve.
