videoThe Wilmington Waves 7th grade basketball team captured a national title for travel basketbal in Myrtle Beach. Hoggard football coach Scott Braswell is back in Wilmington. The 2014 baseball season is now over for the Wilmington Sharks. The playoffs will start on Wednesday, but the Sharks won't be included.

videoIt doesn't look like Jordan Hamilton will suit up for the Wilmington Hammerheads anymore. He's no longer on loan from Toronto FC. He's now a member of Toronto FC. Without Hamilton and a handful of other players the Wilmington Hammerheads FC ended up in a scoreless draw with Arizona United SC on Friday night. Plus more!

videoTraining camp opens this week for Connor Barth and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The former Hoggard kicker will be the Tampa Bay kicker once again, even though Barth missed all of last season with a torn Achilles.

videoHoggard High School head football coach and athletics director Scott Braswell will be taking a leave of absence in order to have surgery on a tumor in his lower back. Braswell is entering his 18th season as the head football coach of the Vikings.

State playoffs: Topsail baseball wins; Hoggard & Whiteville both bow out of soccer playoffs
