Hoggard and New Hanover will meet on Wednesday night at UNCW's Trask Coliseum. The championship of the 18th Annual Leon Brogden Holiday Basketball Tournament is at stake. On Friday night on WWAY we featured a preview of the 18th Annual Leon Brogden Holiday Basketball Tournament that will tip off on Monday at UNCW's Trask Coliseum. Eight high school basketball teams will be shooting for the title. One of the teams already has a tournament title this month. Hoggard won the Shootout by the Sea in Myrtle Beach on Friday. UNCW committed a season high 28 turnovers on Saturday night against VCU. The Seahawks couldn't handle the pressure from the Rams. In high school hoops Ashley survived the pressure of a competitive game on the road against South View. Donnell Holmes found himself in a pressure cooker on Saturday, but the Ivanhoe native couldn't come up with the decision he wanted. Full story...

Charlotte Providence won its fifth North Carolina High School Athletic Association volleyball championship in convincing fashion on Saturday as the Panthers rolled to a straight-set victory over Wilmington Hoggard in the 4-A final at Reynolds Coliseum. Full story...
