Other than appealing his violation of a protective order, Berger has been out of the news, until he sent an email to fellow commissioners around 2:40 a.m. The email expressed Berger's disapproval of the board sending a letter of support for a head start grant. Jason Thompson is currently a New Hanover County Commissioner. He hopes to keep his seat. He says although he previously said he would not run for re-election, he can't give it up yet. Before serving on the commission, Thompson was a member of the Wilmington City Council.
