Jonathan Barfield is a second-generation New Hanover County commissioner. His father served on the board for 12 years. Barfield hopes to follow in his father's footsteps, which would start by being elected to a second term in office. Barfield serves on numerous boards and committees to help stay involved in the community. He sat down with us to share this thoughts on a proposed baseball stadium as well as the need for more jobs in Wilmington.

Brian Berger has been released from jail after being back behind bars Friday. The New Hanover County Commissioner was arrested Friday morning after he failed to appear in court.
