videoOn Friday night WWAY provided extensive coverage from the Laney Sports Hall of Fame ceremony. The hall grew by seven. Friday was also a special night at New Hanover High School. The 2012 state champion Wildcat basketball team was honored prior to the New Hanover-New Bern game. Friday also featured a game in Leland that was marred by fan misconduct. videoUNCW was full of screaming, enthusiastic school children on Thursday. Nearly 5,000 spectators, mainly school children, packed into Trask Coliseum in order to watch the UNCW women's basketball team play NC A&T.
