You may have seen a lot of flags flying at half staff today. Gov. Pat McCrory asked to lower the flags across the state to honor fallen law enforcement officers.

video Wilmington Police today honored a fallen officer more than 147 years after his death. The department hosted the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony this morning.

North Carolina is paying tribute to law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty with the state's annual Peace Officers Memorial Day ceremony. Attorney General Roy Cooper will deliver opening remarks at the event being held Tuesday morning at Village Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

Cops bike to DC to honor fallen officers

Law Enforcement United is cycling to Washington, DC, to honor fallen officers. More than 20 officers are making the thousand-mile trek over a 10-day span. Four wilmington police officers are among the group.
