Tree trimming to close part of Market next week

The NCDOT will shut down a busy stretch of Market St. in Wilmington most of next week. Crews will trim the trees along Market from 17th St. to 23rd St. Monday through Thursday. Market will be closed daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. as they work.

Owner says fire that destroyed business was arson

After four hours of battling the flames crews finally have extinguished a fire at a Wilmington business. Now a joint task force made up of the Wilmington Fire Department, New Hanover County Fire Rscue and the ATF is trying to figure out what started the fire.
