The Raleigh woman accused in the death of her husband's former girlfriend has been convicted of second-degree murder. A Wake County jury returned the verdict Wednesday in the trial of 41-year-old Amanda Hayes. She was sentenced to a minimum of 13 years and a maximum of 16 1/2 years in prison. Full story...

The mother of a victim of gun violence is blaming the City of Wilmington for her son's death.
