Shooting victim's brother says attackers caught on camera

videoYellow tape surrounded the Columbus County home today where deputies say two men were shot and one died last night. The brother of the surviving victim, who was one of the first to arrive after the shooting, says he knows who did it and caught them on camera.

'Fatal Vision' judge asked to limit new evidence

Judge: No bond for Marine charged with infant's murder

A Camp Lejeune Marine has been charged with murder in the death of an 11-month-old child. In addition to an open count of murder, 23-year-old LCpl. Matthew Scott Krause, of Maysville, has been charged with negligent child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, and abuse and neglect.

Deputies investigating murder near Tabor City

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not yet provided any details from an autopsy conducted late this morning on Lee Travis Wright. Law Enforcement can now release, however, that Wright was apparently shot once in the chest.

Marine accused of shaking baby to death

videoA Camp Lejeune Marine is charged with the death of an infant. Investigators from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office and Naval Criminal Investigative Service responded to the Naval Hospital aboard Camp Lejeune July 28 for an unresponsive 11-month-old. The infant had been in the care of LCpl. Matthew Krause, 23, who was the child's mother's boyfriend.

Body found in Charlotte car was dismembered

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say a woman's body found in an abandoned car earlier this week had been dismembered. Officers were called to an apartment complex about 6 p.m. Sunday to investigate an abandoned SUV with a strong odor coming from it.

videoWilmington Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for the murder of Angelo Freeman, 51, Tuesday night on Lilac Court. Nicholas Terrell Bannerman is charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, burglary, arson, kidnapping and conspiracy.
