video GE Foundation presented a surprise check for $175,000 to New Hanover Community Health Center. The grant money is a part of GE's Developing Health effort in support of providing quality healthcare to underserved residents. "This donation was huge. It was absolutely huge for us because we want to continue to provide services for the uninsured and the underinsured so it was a major event for us today," New Hanover Community Health Center CEO Aganette Young said.

Community Health Center offers students free screenings, school supplies

As the school year approaches, the New Hanover Community Health Center will offer free vaccinations, counseling, and eye exams to children ages five to 18. It all starts at 2 p.m.

A malfunction has many worried about blood borne diseases
