The North Carolina Justice Center says the state is on pace to set a record with more than 70,000 home foreclosures in 2010. The advocacy group said Monday its projection is based on an analysis of current foreclosure filings across the state.

It's not every day a student has her high school diploma and college degree by the age of 18. Alexandra Lyons started Pender Early College High School at the age of 15. The program gives high school students the chance to pursue an associate degree from cape fear community college.
